This post was inspired by an article I read a few days ago by Huffington Post. It was regarding a bride who intentionally chose hideous bridesmaid dresses for her bridal party in fear that they would “upstage” her on her wedding day.
Do you remember seeing the movie “27 dresses” when Katherine Heigl’s character pulled out 27 of the most hideous bridesmaid dresses ever seen?
Do you think it’s really fair to dress your bridesmaids in ugly dresses? Undoubtedly, you are the bride and you will be the most beautiful woman in the building so why the fear?
That’s not fair!
You should want your bridesmaids to be comfortable. You should want them to enjoy themselves and feel good doing so. Believe me, I’m sure scratch that, I am certain that you do not want to see any scrunched up faces of misery in your wedding pictures.
Would you intentionally dress your bridesmaids in an ugly dress or have you ever been a bridesmaid subjected to wearing a dress that you weren’t too pleased with?
